DCCM joined forces with the Arthur L. Irving Entrepreneurship Centre at Saint Mary’s University to launch a pitch competition focused on social impact. Student entrepreneurs pitched purpose-driven ventures aimed at creating positive change in their communities. The winner received a $10,000 grant to support both their education and the growth of their social enterprise. This partnership brought together a shared belief in empowering Dream Chasers through entrepreneurial education, mentorship, and opportunity.

Did you know that 1 in 5 students at SMU report feeling lonely? Many struggle to find a sense of community, feeling overwhelmed by existing social circles and unsure of how to get involved on campus.
That’s where Sociable comes in. Their platform is redefining student life by helping university students build meaningful, real-world connections through shared interests and events. With their innovative Pre-Connect Option, students can join a small group chat before attending an event, making it easier (and way less intimidating!) to show up and meet new people.
Sociable isn’t just another social platform—it’s a game-changer for campus communities, tackling student loneliness head-on and fostering in-person friendships. And the best part? They are just getting started! ❤️
